God-forsaken darkness...
The phrase "God-forsaken darkness" had been ringing in my head since Saturday night's cell. At least we know that no matter what happens, we still have the Almighty One behind us, watching, knowing that everything is falling accordingly to His plan, loving us. But when Jesus died on the cross, God "wasnt there" for Him. It is His plan for Jesus to die so that we can all be redeemed. That is how sad it is for Jesus. But He chose this path on His own accord. He know that this is the only way. But He never withdrew from this decision and this destiny. He loves us too much to do so.
Yes, I was pretty down today. Not cause of anything. Blame it on my emotions. I was sad because of the image of Him on the cross again. The phrase rang in my head again. And I teared when during worship. I didnt join the rest of the youths in front. I didnt have the mood to do so. So I just stayed at the back of the hall and worshipped with all my heart, for my Lord who so graciously died for us on the cross. On the cross for
US. Like since when have you heard any other gods who did that? No. Yes, that passage hit me hard. All the "buddhas" were seeking a stage of nirvana where there is peace and no sufferings. They're seeking for an escape. It's so fake. Face it! Like Jesus did, and you'll have all my respect. But they all didnt. They just chanted and did good works and chanted and did good works. For an escape. But too bad. There is no other way to Heaven.
Haiz.. When will people ever learn? So sad..
John 1o, Jesus said..
1"I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.
2The man who enters by the gate is the sheperd of his sheep.
3The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep folow him because They know his voice.
5But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
6Jesus used this figure of speech, but they(His disciples) did not understand what he was telling them.
7Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.
8All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
9I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
12The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
13The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
14"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me --
15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father -- and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
17The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life -- only to take it up again.
18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.
In dg today, I've learnt about the armour of God. I kept forgetting what the specific pieces of armour is. Ya. A refreshment of the mind...
Ephesians 6
The Armour of God10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14Stand firm then, with the
belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in place,
15and with your
feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16In addition to all this, take up the
shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17Take the
helmet of salvation and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18And
pray in the Spirit on
all occasions with
all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying
for all the saints.
Lol! Can you believe it if I said my sis just threw the dustbin out of the window? At this time of the night, or do you not believe me? Lol.. Do tell me.. Leave a tag. =P
